This and all websites and their domain names created for the use of The Owsley County History and Genealogy Society are the property of The Owsley County History and Genealogy Society and do not belong to any individual. If an Organization member or other person purchases the domain name and/or creates a portion of the website, that person is acting as an agent of and for The Owsley County History and Genealogy Society and cannot claim ownership nor copyright the website as their own.

Materials

Any item, be it material, money, documents, transcriptions of historical data or any other item given to the above mentioned society herein referred to as OCHGS will become the property of the society, and belong to no individual with the exception of original documents or copy righted materials. The afore mentioned will be returned to the rightful owners or their designated heirs if so requested. We reserve the right to make copies of the original works solely for the use of Genealogy. Emails posted to the email message list will be the property of the society and the senders. These emails will be held in the archive section of the message list server. When the presiding officer leaves the office, any and all usernames, passwords, signatures cards or anything in the use of the officer leaving the office will be handed to the Society immediately after the new officer takes charge.

From time to time this document may be updated and voted on by the Board of Directors. This is solely for the protection of the Society and its membership.

By becoming a member you agree to abide by these terms and conditions and agree that you may be expelled from the group by the Board of Directors without notice, if you do not abide by them.
